Our People

Ron Frisch is the owner, President and CEO of Kohl & Frisch Limited. He joined his family in the management of the company in 1980. In addition to his active role at Kohl & Frisch, Ron has taken on leadership roles in the industry as Chairman (four terms) of the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM), Member of the CAPDM Board of Directors, Member of the Board of Directors of ITWAL Limited, Past Member of Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores (CACDS) Advisory Board, Member of the World Presidents Organization (WPO) and Chief Executive Organization (CEO).

Ron is also very active in the community. He has served on the Board of Directors for several charitable organizations and has chaired numerous charitable fundraising campaigns and events. Ron has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and his Chartered Accountant designation.

Maria Castro is the Executive Vice President of Kohl & Frisch Limited. She joined the company in 1991 as Director of Finance and has held various positions of increasing responsibility. Over the years, Maria has been instrumental in the implementation of new technologies and business strategies, and has spearheaded initiatives for working with key business partners. In her current role, she is responsible for managing our key accounts customers, and also oversees our IT department. Maria received her Business Degree at York University and has a Chartered Accountant designation, which she earned while at Laventhol & Horvath/PricewaterhouseCoopers. Maria was Chairman of the CAPDM from 2005 to 2007 and has been a Board Member of CAPDM since 2002.

Sharon is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of management expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, reporting, systems implementation, legal agreement review and negotiation. Having worked in a number of industries, she brings a wealth of diverse business experience to the company. Sharon received her Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Lance is a Supply Chain professional with over 18 years of General Management experience in logistics and operations. In 2009, he joined Kohl & Frisch and has overall responsibility for operations and our transportation network. Lance has held a number of senior level positions across a broad spectrum of industries. Lance acquired a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph and an MBA from City University, Washington.

Harvey joined Kohl & Frisch in October 2004 as Director, Human Resources and was promoted to Vice President, Human Resources in January of 2006. Harvey has a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, an Honours BA in Economics from York University, and over 20 years of progressive human resource management experience gained through working in a number of industries.
